A dark, deep, sweet winter ale, loaded with spices from across the seven seas, putting the spirit of the season in a glass. Only available during December.

Cask handpull, The Salmon, Leicester, 05/01/13. Black with ruby tints and a thick, unmoving yellow-tan lid. Massive, unsubtle, sticky mulled aroma; cinnamon, cola bottles, bacon, malt loaf, bubblegum, mauby. Huge rauched front straight from Bavaria overlaid with mulled spices, burnt sausage, Frazzles and cola bottles. Deeply, bonfire smoky. Berries and bubblegum; sahti and root beer-like spice combined with a bacon smokiness and nimble mouthfeel that keeps the spice and sweetness in check and makes it hugely drinkable. Uncommonly good.
