UPDATED: FEB 14, 2014 Not much of a smell. Sparkling on the feel. A slight tart pear flavor. Very sugary. Can’t drink too much of it really. Need a beer after one for sure.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pale cherry color. No head, lace or foam. Faint blackberry aroma but a little stinky. Tastes ok initially but turns to tasting like years old stale hard candy. Very spritzy.

Draft at Kloby’s. Pours very clear dark reddish copper with no head. Tastes lightly sweet, lightly tart, like mixed berries with some sugar. Light body and low carbonation. Mild, fruity, sugary aroma.

Bottle: as a cider this is a refreshing not too sweet summer beverage. Not too sour, not too sweet. Recommend this to any cider drinker but if you need a change from the normal beer, this will do the trick.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The appearance is a clear red color with no head, and the aroma blends blackberries and pear in a strong yet crisp scent. The taste is quite sweet and slightly sour, resulting in a somewhat crisp flavor. The palate fuses a light body, slick texture, lightly tart finish, and a nearly flat carbonation.

I love fruity beers so this one is great. It has a crisp, refreshing taste with blackberry aroma, tastes of pear, blackberry, and cherries.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20
355ml bottle into a weizen glass; served cold.
Aroma: Quite fruity and jammy. Some cranberry. The aroma is not unlike melted candy.
Appearance: Clear, rust colored body with low visible carbonation. No head. No lacing.
Taste: Cranberry more than blackberry. Mildly tart, but still lots of melted candy flavor. It tastes quite artificial.
Palate: Light bodied. Sticky.
Overall: Disappointing. The regular Pacific Pear by Fox Barrel/Crispin was fantastic; juicy, light, refreshing. This cider is like drinking candy.

Blackberry nose. Clear rose. Dry, but assumes a tangy feel. Blackberry, concorde grapes, vinous. Alcohol fairly evident. Similar to a wine cooler, berry flavor is pretty strong. Pretty much what I was looking for on a hot day like today.
