Tap pours very light clear yellow with frothy head that disappears. The smell is sauvignon blanc with a sweet sugar. The taste is much more basic pear, not bad but not as interesting. Light and smooth, a little too light.

On tap.
Hazy dull yellow with lots of fluffy head. Aroma is extremely vinous with lots of ripe pear. Flavor is crisp with lots of pear and some wood. More like a white wine than a cider. Very unique.

On tap. Pours with a hazy, murky, pale yellow body with a minimal (as expected) head. Aromas are sweet, pear, jasmine, buttery, sugar, and light wine notes. Taste is sweet, buttery, jammy fruit, deep pear notes (very concentrated) and vanilla. Light carbonation. Juicy and a little spicy.

The pour is a hazed light yellow color with a big white head. A decent amount of wine on the nose. Good pear aroma along with a touch of grapes. A fairly sweet nose with a touch of yeast and vanilla. Sweet pears really stand out on the palate. There is only a mild wood and white wine character, with a little grape flavor. Again, mild yeast is present. Light in body with medium to high carbonation.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Drake (5231) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Growler from Whole Foods Market Glen Allen shared at the 15th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering, 7/16/11. Pours a very pale yellow color with a fizzy head that fades quickly. Aroma of faint pears, some apple notes, wood and faint floral notes. The taste is grainy pear notes, wine notes and wood. Medium bodied.

Tap. Pours to a pale yellowish color that looks pretty much like pear juice. Smells of pear nectar and subtle white grape. The flavor is pretty much like drinking pear nectar but not as sweet. Some alcohol. Notes of white grapes. The palate is medium bodied, seemingly unfiltered, and juicy. I wouldn’t drink a whole glass, however.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 alexanderj (2850) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - JUL 22, 2011
On tap; poured an average, dull gold color. Aroma of pears, wine and sugar. Flavor of pears and sugar, hints of wine, sour and acidity. Robust. Some floral notes.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Kinz (2693) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JUL 17, 2011
Very pale yellow. Light pear aroma and flavor. Not bad, just not a whole lot of anything going on here. I went looking for the barrel and floral notes, but just couldn’t find anything in the nose or flavor. Probably better than this rating as there was nothing wrong with this. But not a lot right either.
