Clear. Sweet, light palate. Sweetness is not overwhelming. A little yeast, not too bad. It isnít too sweet. At Beer Dabbler, 2010, served by Crispin Cider.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear brilliant gold with no head. This is not a still cider and is in fact lightly effervescent. Pleasant aroma of pears. The flavor is pears with just a bit of spiciness to it. Dries out a bit at the finish with just a kiss of sweetness. Light effervescence keeps this bright on the palate. Enjoyable, especially on a hot afternoon like today.

Light bodied with no real head. I smell pears and well more pears. Pretty much all I can taste is the pears. Light fresh mouth feel. Great for the summer. Very nice but I have to say that I have never rated a cider.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Nice floral pear aroma that leans toward new plastic/chemical, but is somehow still pleasant. Clear champagne colored, little carbonation visible. Honeysuckle, pear, and cotton candy flavor. Creamsicle finish. Wow, there are some really neat things happening in this perry. Iíve never tasted anything quite like it. As different as hefeweizens are to lagers this is to ordinary perries. Super!

Bottled sample at the World Beer Festival Richmond, 6/12/10. Pours a clear pale yellow color with no head. Very big, intense, perfumey pear aroma. Fairly sweet. The taste is sweet and dry pear notes with a slightly earthy texture. Light and refreshing.

In the bottle from Total Wine Tampa. Pale yellow with a fizzy effervescent white head. Pear aroma with a bit of sulfur. A very dry pear flavor, not as sweet as many perrys. OK, but not great.

BottleÖ Pours nearly clear with only a trace of straw color to it and a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is just a tad spicy Ė hints of clove and nutmeg Ė and Iím picking up plenty of pear. Full-bodied and oily with lively carbonation. The flavor is medium sweet and fruity with a whisper of acidity. Short, crisp, clean finish. I could drink a lot of this.

On draft at Oldsmar Tap House. Pours clear yellow-green with a white head. Nose is pear, some sugar, and lots of sweetness. Flavor is similar with a gentle fruit and sugar hit. Enjoyable and sessionable pear cider.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sampled in bottle on 20th anniversary beer tour. Iím usually a big fan of ciders, especially pear ciders, but this beer just doesnít do it. It tastes like low-quality apple juice made from concentrate. Pear flavor barely there. Just not good at all, not even recommended for tasting.
