COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Naturally fermented using "Forbidden Fruit" wit yeast and unpasteurized fresh-pressed organic pear juice. Secondary fermentation using sparkling wine yeasts rounds out this bright loose-limbed natural beauty.

Bomber from the Folsom Whole Foods. Pours hazy gold with a few white bubbles. Aroma is sort of floral/pear. Near med body. Flavor is pear, but sort of like there’s a grain component. It’s very dry, and moderately bitter. Some pear skin comes out in the finish.

Bomber. Pours fizzy turbid straw colored with minimum off-white head. Nose is rich earthy apple, cinnamon, honey. Tastes rich, earthy, with a crisp apple flavor. Not too tart or too sweet, with notes of honey, cinnamon, and fresh baked pie crust in the finish.

Sampled from a bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with no head. Grainy pear aroma with a white wine note. The taste is dry grain pears, wine and a sweet finish. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle. Head is initially very small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is notes of rubber cement, fusel alcohols (acetone, etc.), plastic, rotting vegetables, sawdust, sulfur, hint of apple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter, unclean. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Absolutely horrific nose that’s basically a chemical bath...wretched industrial phenols and higher alcohols, hardly anything else...especially pear/apple-ish odor, where is that??? Unbelievable. One of the worst cider/perry products I’ve ever come across.

2/14/13. 22oz bomber from Whole Foods. Followed the instructions on the bottle and gave it a swirl before pouring. Very murky pour with no head whatsoever. Big straight up pear aroma with a touch of yeast. Slightly sweet pear juice entry with a hint of tartness and yeast. A touch if dry in the end, but mostly lingering pear. Not bad.

The aroma is like paint thinner and fruit. The appearance is hazy gold with no head. The taste like the aroma with a dirty quality. The palate is average. Overall its slightly carbonated and refreshing but majorly flawed.

This is pretty disappointing to me. Some pear flavors and while thankfully not oversweet, the actual body just doesn’t taste that good. Certainly not at $7 a bottle.

Slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is heavy on the pears with a hint of vanilla. The flavor is similar. I get some pear notes, as well as a little bit of sugar and some maple. There is also a slightly medicinal note in the flavor.

Mazel Tov! I have finally gotten around to trying this. Apple, vinegar, plastic aroma. Cloudy old gold. Texture is very light, ethereal. Apple and vanilla flavor. Chemical plastic notes are less evident than in the aroma, but present nonetheless. Texture is fantastic as it seems to completely evaporate the instant it reaches the tongue. On the other hand, the flavor and aroma are slightly tainted.
