Naturally fermented using "Forbidden Fruit" wit yeast and unpasteurized fresh-pressed organic pear juice. Secondary fermentation using sparkling wine yeasts rounds out this bright loose-limbed natural beauty.

Pours a cloudy dark gold with a bit of effervescence. Not too sweet. Good flavor and just a hint of carbonation. Nice for sitting on the patio on a spring day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled from a bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with no head. Grainy pear aroma with a white wine note. The taste is dry grain pears, wine and a sweet finish. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle. Pours murky straw yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma of strong pear. Flavor is just the same, actually rate like real "Pear". Light, fizzy body. Not bad!

22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy light yellow with no head. The first thing I notice about the aroma is yeast. The wit yeast is potent. Light sweet pear is also present. The flavors are delicate and I’m having a tough time with ignoring the yeast. The body is the best feature. Delicate and light on the palate with only a little bit of residual sticky sweetness. I don’t think a 22oz bottle is the best vehicle for this. I know it is the most profitable for the brewer, but unless this is shared, 22oz is cloying to me.

Bottle. Pours an apple juice color with no head, but lots of fizz. Aroma smells exactly like the juice from canned/fruit cupped pears.Taste is very sweet with a slight alcoholic bite. Almost a sour flavor. Very nice and sweet. Wife likes it.

Slight carbonation. Not too sweet. Moderate alcohol (5.3%). Yellow gold color with unfiltered elements of yeast etc. A little heavier viz a viz Crispin original. Ingredients show pear juice added to pear cider so not just fermented pear. Acid/sweetness balance great for salty and tangy foods such as salad with vinaigrette and sharp cheeses. Might drink again...if it goes on sale.

Bomber from the Folsom Whole Foods. Pours hazy gold with a few white bubbles. Aroma is sort of floral/pear. Near med body. Flavor is pear, but sort of like there’s a grain component. It’s very dry, and moderately bitter. Some pear skin comes out in the finish.

Bottle poured into glass. Was expecting pear and that’s what I got. Pear is everywhere in the aroma and flavor. Has a bitter finish but very enjoyable.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Murky, pale, chicken stock sort of body. Hearty. Fleeting half inch of whitewash head. Smells of honeydew, fresh cider, banana, & some out of place vinegar. Tastes like a mix of sparkling pear juice & a starchy American wheat ale. Gum, fresh apple cider, & more subtle vinegar in there. Vanilla finish. Yeah, I read the label, but something still seems iffy here. I guess I’ll just roll with it. I sort of liked it.
