Cask at Peterborough Beer Fest. Almost clear golden. Rich aroma of grapefruit and lychee. Sweet and medium bodied with bolde, rounded mouthfeel. Salty and hop driven, finishing really bitter. Leaning towards American pale ales.

The Fox and Hounds, Heacham (the brewery/tap). Orange gold with a slight haze and thinning head. Brazen grapefruit aroma punching with citrus and fibrous hop resins. Soft and earthy in the mouth with Oakham-like zest and pith aplenty, and a late flourish of softening pale malt digestive sweetness. Irresistable single-varietal hop freshness that disappeared in minutes. Refreshing and excellent.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden, flat looking beer. The aroma is very hoppy with lovely grapefruit aromas. The taste is bitter with more grapefruit flavours. Feels light in body with not enough malts to support the hop.
