3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Svesse (4397) - Hässelby, - OCT 1, 2008
(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Hazy golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, grassy nose with notes of lemon and grapefruit. Fruity taste with citrus, grapefruit, grassy hops and a fresh malt character. More aroma than bitterness from the hops. Nice beer with a distinct American hop character.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pale yellow colour, good head. Biscuit resin aroma. Grain fagash malt flavour, bitter aftertaste. Unusual. Not a typical Aperican Pale Ale, quite difficult to categorise, perhaps somewhere between a bitter, golden ale & English Pale Ale.

Pale golden ale with a thick white head. Citrusy fruit aroma with a distinctly sweetish background. Dry on the palate to begin with, hoppy and citrusy, then a balancing maltiness is accompanied by the honeyed sweetness again. Was the ale I had at my wedding reception, and it went down a storm!!!

[cask at the Brunswick Inn, Derby] Slightly hazy golden pour with a fluffy white head. Floral, hoppy nose, alongside citrus and grapefruit. More on the taste, as the citrus elements come through before the bitter finish. Grizzly is a real treat - a classic refreshing session beer [18042009]

(Bottled)Props out to the bottle label and unoriginal but cool name ...I love bears ...according to two Shaman my ’power animal’ is a bear . now, Im not some new age stoner but animals obviously offer us metaphorical spiritual symbolism, this beer looks like a Saison ,dirty blonde , with sediment swimming around ...fine cream head. nose is lemon, spice and bready malts. Drinks down with all that and some orange . tad thinner than id like but easy to sink , light, zesty.
