Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 2, 2005 A hazy orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is lightly hoppy, while the flavor is sweet with notes of Goldings hops, giving it a slighlty bitter end. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 25, 2005 Bottled at RBESG. Golden colour. Grassy hop aroma. Sweetish and sugary with notes of hay and caramelly malt as well as sulphur. Lacks the body to back up the sweetness. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England May 23, 2005 Bottle. Wonderful IPA in the English style. Thankfully this is a true IPA, with a lightly floral, citrusy aroma. Palate is quite smooth and full bodied, with some lightly sweet malts and then some orangey/grapefuity hops in the finish, nice medium bitterness, very nice indeed. Well hopped. chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Sep 8, 2005 Cask at GBBF, August 2005. Amber colour, a bit on the cloudy side. Plenty of tangy hops in the aroma, slightly oily. Plenty of body, although the mouthfeel is a touch chalky and quite dusty. Distinctly bitter, but there’s some sweet berry fruit and biscuity malt too. Quite well balanced. Curious that tiggmtl picked up diacetyl, as I didn’t and I’m usually very sensitive to that. Sometimes I’ve found that beers with diacetyl on the nose can lose it after standing for a while, so perhaps I just tasted the beer rather later.
