On tap at Fox River Brewing company in Appleton. Appearance od a deep dark brown with no head whatsoever. Seriously, it looks like a cola. Aroma of freshly ground coffee and light notes of chocolate. Taste is light coffee and chocolate with a acrid vegetable taste. Lacks any real carbonation. Finish is water. Yuck.

On tap at GTMW. Poured medium iced tea brown with a tall cap of beige head.. crystal-clear. The aroma picked up artificially-sweetened caramel and milky chocolates with a touch of vanilla.. smelled a bit cheap, but was non-offensive. The flavor found sweet milky notes, chocolate, and toasty black malts accented by vanilla and light smoke.. too sweet for my liking. Medium-bodied with high carbonation on the palate.. not great, but serviceable.

Sampled on draught at the GTMW ’08. Pours a semi-clear dark brown brew with a thin beige head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and thin off-white ring. Aroma of mostly roasted dark coffee and a little dark malt in the background. Taste has more character than its aroma with flavors of toasted dark malt, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and some roasted nuts. Finish has mostly a semi-sweet coffee aftertaste but the flavor disappears quite fast.

Basing this soley on the style, very dissapointing. However overall a decent refreshing beer. Pours an almost clear reddish brown colour with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet, nutty- with light milk chocolate, roasted nuts and coffee beans. Flavors are delightful, creamy, vanilla and coffee notes. Like i said, nice beer- just way too weak for the style.
