Bottle. Brown color with hints of dark cherry when held to the light. A force head, but still only a moderate lid of beige bubbles. Strong roasted malts and coffee scents. Fairly dry from the start. Also seems watery from the beginning. Some roasted malts hints of sorghum and not much more going on in this bottle. Easy enough to drink, but this wouldn’t sustain me carrying my laundry upstairs.

[Bottle] shared by skyview. Pours clear brown with a small soapy beige head. Aroma is mostly roasted barley with a touch of chocolate. Roasted barley flavor, somewhat bittersweet and a touch of tartness. Fairly bland.

Roasted malt in the flavor and aroma. Overall quite light, lacking flavor and aroma. Thin palate. A dialed in porter that leaves no lasting impression, but drinkable enough if you are just looking for a beer with some flavor to toss back.

Courtesy of Skyview. Dark brown color with no head. Powerful dry chocolate and strong roasted barley aroma. Unfortunately, the taste kind of disappears. Light roast and then... nothing...

On tap at the brewpub. Poured clear cola brown with a light dusting of off-white head. The aroma was sweet and toasty with semi-sweet chocolate and other dark malts represented.. light herbal accents.. not very exciting. The flavor had dry cola and chocolate sweetness at the core with a light roast to it.. coffee and light herbal bitterness graced the edges and played an even greater factor toward the back.. not bad overall. Drier and lightly-roasted on the palate with scratchy carbonation. Very, very average.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - AUG 24, 2008
On draught and in 12-oz bottles at both the Appleton (Fox River Mall) and Oshkosh brewpub locations. Pours a clear light cola brown brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates to an off-white ring with some spotty lacing. Aroma of morning buckwheat pancakes with a touch of maple and chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a roasted dark multi-grain malt, brown sugar, some flowery hops and a touch of dark berries. Finish is slightly watery with a hint of multi-grain malt and maple syrup. A little lighter than the regular Titan Porter with some interesting flavor character.
