COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This reddish ale is generously hopped throughout the brewing process. Extra flavor and aroma are obtained by adding raw hops during fermentation - a process known as dry hopping. A medium-bodied style unique to the Fox River Brewing Company.

Amber color with a modest off-white head. Some malt, dough and hint of resin hops in the aromas. Mild pale malt flavors with a bit of honey and zest. A really light and boring pale ale in my book.

On tap at the Oshkosh location. Pours a clear gold with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. A bit of light citrus on the nose backed by some light grains. Flavor begins with a hint of grapefruit and light citrus that mellows into a grain finish.

On tap at the Oshkosh brewpub, pours a clear orange with a good head. Aroma of earth earthy malts and hops. Taste is bitter, earthy hops, more reminiscent of a stout somehow than a pale ale. Not a favorite of mine.

esjaygee (2599) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 26, 2010
Bottled from brother Tom. Clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of mild citrus and resinous hops, caramel and mild grapefruit. Taste is mildly hoppy with light grapefruit and citrus mixed in with the malt. A bit of sourness comes through at first, but faded after a few sips. Went down pretty easy, only mildly bitter on the finish, but nothing spectacular.

pale straw color, pale straw flavor. at least it seems to be free of overt sweet adjuuncts, thuogh the hops are truly at trace levels, like the brewmaster ran out of supplies. it is far more acceptable to serve an average pale ale then to do so under the pretense that it is well hopped.

Pours a clear amber colour with a small white head. Lightly hopped, lighter in mouthfeel very little bitterness with a soft citrus finish. Aroma is faint of hops and grapefruit.

Pour is medium golden with very weak white head. Aroma is of hop resin. Flavor is somewhat decent but is masked by the big sourness bite that hits you full on. Must be the hop resins. Other than that, not much going on here. This is a lower quality American Pale. Would not buy again.

Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - DEC 27, 2007
On draught at both brewpub/brewery locations (Appleton and Oshkosh).
Rating base on Appleton version - Pours a clear light copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that has some good lacing and leaves behind a film top and ring. Aroma of light caramel malt, plenty of citrus and grapefruit zest, and a touch of honey. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with more grapefruit/citrus zest flavor than caramel malt. Finish is slightly dry, with a piney/grapefruit bitterness that lingers around after the finish. The Oshkosh version has a powdery biscuit malt flavor during the taste and in the finish

SHANER4 (427) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 8, 2007
On tap at Fox River Brewing Co. pub. Poured a rich copper color with nice white head, great lacing as I drank the beer. Tasted hops through out and thought the beer tasted similar to Victory’s Hop Devil. I would order this beer again, I give Fox River Brewing credit for creating a quality pale ale.

jewedekind (450) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - APR 27, 2007
tap in Oshkosh. A nice orange beer with a fair white head with a doily of lacework after it subsided to a film. Nice citrus aroma, enough malt to finish. Very similar to Sierra Nevada, like it was probably shooting for. I liked this as much as the Scotch Ale.
