Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, USA - FEB 4, 2009
Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at the Oshkosh Fratello location (Thanks to JPDIPSO for the tip of where this was available). Pours a semi-clear dirty amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some dark pitted fruit, some citrus and floral hops and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, a hint of toasted chocolate malt, floral hops and dark pitted fruits. Finish is semi-dry with some leafy citrus hop aftertaste that slowly disappears. Not a West Coast caliper IPA but more like a dark American Pale Ale style.

JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - APR 8, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 24, 2009 Rerate: Bottle from Oshkosh, Flavors much the same, Not a bubbly as the tap. Still tastes as much a lightly fruity bock. Not a real juggernaut of an IPA. Original Rate: 8 April, 2008: 7,3,7,3,14 -3.4 Draft at Appleton location, Dark amber color with a small head that diminishes to a thin lid of taupe bubbles. Floral caramel aromas, along with some toasted bread and hints of herbal hops. Thicker body, but a touch too much effervescence distracts. Nice and malty, Caramel, toasted grain, some hints of light fruit are all there in the front. Light grass and herbal hops in the middle dry thing out a bit. And lead to a quite bitter and dry finish and linger. Some chocolate and toasted malt wander in and out in the finish and linger as well.
