Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Deep reddish brown colour - not the darkest mild I’ve seen. A quite light bodied mild, with modest toasty malt and a nutty undertone. Decent but nothing out of the ordinary.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Reading BF. A very dark brown coloured mild with a thin indistinguished aroma. The taste is a little eggy with a tiny amount of smokiness, but otherwise disappointingly dull.
