Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours hazy orange with a fine, white cream head. Delicate citrus nose, some dough and straw. Medium sweet flavor, some smoke. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Medium sweet finish with lightly toasted malts, faint citrus fruits. Medium. Meh, it’s OK. Nothing special, but OK.

Bottle at Prince of Wales, Foxfield. Gold/copper, very, very lively. A cream head the size of some small countries. Alcohol, metal, vanilla, tropical fruit in the nose. Lovely taste: sweet, malty and slightly fruity, almost like a very strong mild. Lip-smacking caramel bittersweet in the aftertaste. Special.

ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Hazy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Light, dry and airy palate. Minerals. Mild dried fruits with orange and apricot being most identifiable. Minerally dry finish. Okay.

Unclear medium to dark amber orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, grass - leather notes. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. A bit unbalanced and messy !
