D’inspiration anglaise, d’une amertume modérée, elle arbore une robe cuivrée et une mousse persistante aux fins arômes de houblons anglais.

bought at broue haha, Gatineau, QC. good lively carbonation with a thin head If I hadn’t seen the label, I would have thought this was an ESB or some kind of a caramel malt winter beer. Not much hop bitterness. ok beer, not a great IPA (if even an IPA!).

Cloudy copper color with moderate strength activity. Creamy orange beige 2 finger head, lasting around 15 minutes, with strong legs. Strong aromas of caramel, sweet hops, and slightly floral. Flavors of citrus including orange and lemon, grapes and dark fruits, caramel, floral and herbal spices. Bready, grassy, a little roasted and syrupy. Well balanced sweetness and sharpness. Creamy full body with perfect carbonation. Medium strength and length finish, ending with bitter fruit peels and clove with a touch of herbal spices. Not to rough. Overall a good craft with decent flavors that are well balanced being not excessively bitter nor too sugary. Though missing some freshness and a little flat. With some tuning this could be an excellent IPA.

Bottle: Poured an amber/copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry bitter English hops with dry caramel malt notes. Taste is a solid mix of dry bitter English hops with light floral notes with some dry caramel malt notes with hints of residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. I am usually not a big fan of English style IPA but I thought this was a pretty good take on the style.

Bottle on the brewery’s porch, a really nice setting I must say! Pours a clear copper with a small offwhite head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of slight grain husk, toasted malt and earthy hops. Taste is not really sweet and moderately bitter, offers some caramel, slight fruits and earthy hops. Pretty well balanced overall I must say and pretty enjoyable for an english IPA. Body is medium and carbonation moderate. Overall a pretty good EIPA, glad to see this recipe was improved since batch 1! I could pick that up from time to time maybe.

Pours a hazy amber topped by two fingers of frothy tanned head showing pretty good retention and lacing properties. The nose is toasty, toffee and even some maple. and very floral hops. Almost like a pseudomonas. The taste is again nutty and toasty with a certain toffee sweetness and those floral hops, all that backed by a good sharpness and nice bitterness through a medium-light body. Not bad at all. Cheers!

Couleur dorée-ambrée translucide avec une belle mousse épaisse et résistante. Aromes de caramel, floral, manque de complexité. Amertume moyennement présente. Au final une IPA de type anglaise dans les normes et respectables, mais loin d’etre parfaite!

Bottle 341ml. Pours somewhat hazy dark amber with low pale beige head. No serious lacing. Aroma is of caramel, biscuits, citrus. Taste is of caramel, biscuits, citrus, bitterness, some alcohol. Palate: Medium body. Low-medium carbonation. Balance is on the sweet/malt side. Overall: Good. Really not "in". More like an old style english IPA. Hops quite present. not really earthy.

341ml bottle. Beautiful clear copper body, medium beige head with good retention. Aroma of caramel, orange candies, camp flowers, bread. Taste is clean and classic: caramel malt sweetness, moderate amount of herbal hops, candy sugar, herbs. A little on the flat side.

Bought a 6 pack of this at IGA in Vaudreuil/Dorion. Something happened at the plant, as two of the bottles were covered in moldy beer syrup. There also is a fracture in one of the bottles, near the base. I contacted Frampton via their Facebook page and their website contact link. The curt response I got from the Facebook page, was "return them to the retailer for exchange". No show of concern, no surprise, nothing! I decided to try two of the four that didn’t seem affected by the other two. One had almost no carbonation and a strange metallic taste and the other was a below average, reasonably balanced but barely deserving of the label "IPA".
