Pours a weak looking pale yellow. Fizzy head quickly dissipates to a thin ring. Smells mildly of macro grain residue and butt sweat. Actually pretty decently carbonated, but unfortunately tastes like macro swill, maybe worse. Weak pathetic malt profile with some bitterness. Finishes surprisingly neutral, almost like club soda. In theory alcoholic club soda is a great idea, but unfortunately this product makes an attempt to be beer and fails miserably.

Dorada clara, con abundante espuma de dos, tres dedos. Aroma ligero malteado. Sabor ligeramente dulce y final largo algo amargo. Refrescante y bebible. Siendo normal es de lo mejor de las lager industriales Sudamérica.

Bright golden color beer with a beige small head that disappears quickly. Aroma is malty and grassy, with herbal notes. Flavor is sweet with straw hints; no real bitterness. Watery body and low carbonation.

Another day, another lager. Pours with a clear golden color, decent white head which settles down quickly. Aroma is basically grains throughout - nothing special. Sweet start is followed by grains in the body. The end is bitter, but only just - needs some more. Not a bad one, but nothing to remember it by. An OK beer to freshen you up.

This sample was brewed in 2009 and the best-by date was May 12, 2010. France has a medium, white head, a mostly clear, golden appearance, some bubbles, a large number of roiling white (and some tan) particles, and heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of overly-aged barley malt, funky sweetness, slightly turned fruit, and syrupy sugar. Taste is of those same things, especially the syrupy sugar, with a mild hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Franca finishes dry, refreshing, and easy drinking. Taking into account the old age of this sample, I still think it’s very good, and I would like to try a fresh bottle. RJT
