Thin white head which does not last long and mild carbonation. Hazy medium golden orange. Aroma is biscuity malts, decaying straw and some orange and wheat. Somewhat flat mouthfeel with more straw and wheat. Sort of sickly sweet malt backbone. Chalky mouthfeel. Mediocre brew.

Tap at EBBC14, cloudy amber, light citrus and banana nose, initially dry then fruity, gentle hoppiness in the finish. Intriguing interpretation of a Hefeweiss.

stravale (2035) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - NOV 30, 2013
Bottle from Tesco Longford [301113]
Orange, hazy, frothy white head that quickly dissipates, slight lacing
Aroma - soft sweet wheat, touch of banana, hubba bubba bubble gum, quite fruity
Taste - Soft sweet quite fruity malts, wheat, dab of orange, bubble gum, slight apricot, some spicy clove notes coming through, soft flavours
Palate - Medium carb, medium body, bit powdery texture, finding it rather too sweet though. Finish - light bitter spicy, smooth, rapid finish
Overall - Lacking guts, bit too sweet, but easy and smooth. Quite a decent soft Hefeweizen (I’m not that keen on ones that are overpowering).

Flaska som hälls upp dimmigt orange med vitt skum. En rätt trevlig weissbier, där dofter av citron och apelsinskal når näsan. Detsamma i smaken plus koriander, banan och en gräsig beska.

Appearance: Hazy amber with thin white head which rapidly disappeared. Aroma: Candied orange, clove, honey note and subtle banana. Taste: Low/medium sweetness, low bitterness and medium sourness. Palate: Thin smooth texture, light body, average carbonation, abrupt fairly dry banana, bubblegum, clove finish. Comments: Ok and enjoyable but nothing special.
