Served on tap at the Porterhouse Temple Bar at the Independent Irish Beer & Whiskey Festival. Pours a nice orange color, a bit hazy, with a 1 finger head that disappears slowly. Smells nice and hoppy with a hint or floral/citrus. Tastes like it smells with the hops being the overwhelming character and a bit of grapefruit and bitterness. A bit rough around the edges when compared to more smooth examples of APAs, but still goes down nice. I think that it went well with the Porterhouse burger. I would have more of these in one session, but had to get my hands and taste buds on other beers that were available at the Festival. Comparable to Galway Hooker Irish Pale Ale.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 6 Aug 2008) Pale yellow colour with almost no head. Fruity, grassy nose with tropical fruit. Fruity, malty taste with notes of grass, tropical fruit and some soapy, floral hops in the finish (what happened with the Cascade hops?). Fairly thin and rather boring.

Cask (GBBF 2008) - Light golden in colour. Faint aroma of malt and some hops. Bitter taste with a slight hint of grapefruit. Rather bland and it seems they used the cascade hops rather sparingly.

Cask@ Easter Beer Festival, Franciscan Well. Dark copper with a medium head. Floral hoppy aroma with some malty sweetness. Toasted malt flavour with a fairly decent level of cascade bitterness on the finish. Ok but not great.
