A very attractive amber colour. Some caramel, a little more tart then most Irish ales. Quite nice, except for the fact that it finishes very abruptly.

Bull and Castle - Draught; Nice red colour with an enjoyable fruity/hop aroma. Had a short finish but it did not detract from it. Nice.

Cask Stillage at the Memorial Hall, Northwich 22/09/2006 Fruity rich aroma. Amber coloured and slightly rich and creamy on the palate. Fruit flavours. Some sourness and dryness in the roast malt finish.

Franciscan Well 17/05/06. I quite liked the colour of this one although a pretty bland taste after trying the Friar Wiesse. Malt nose, some caramel and a touch of rhubarb also toffee in the taste.

Cask (gravity) at The Bell Inn Irish Beers Festival, Nottingham. Fairly unsubtle all round; sharp bite to it, rough hops, bit of a sour finish, not a fan of this one.
