2009-05-20. Dark copper-amber body with a good sized creamy beige head. (3+) Sweetish aroma of malt, touch of musty dish rag is off putting but brief. Flavour is on the sweet side, malt, just a touch of caramel malt, a yeasty undertone throughout leaves the impression of the beer being a bit green, light. Average palate. Not as good as the beers sampled at the brewpub so perhaps the keg/lines here were off, or perhaps that is really what the beer is like. On tap at Bru Bar, Cork

Very clear Red Ale, Hop and Malt flirts with you but never goes any further. Medium Carbonation, Not much bar a subtle fruity underbelly.

DruncanVeasey (7315) - NUNEATON, CONF N, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 3, 2009
UPDATED: JAN 4, 2009 Draught, Bull and Castle, Dublin. Bright ruby with a persistent collar and lace. Woodsy cask-like hints on the snout, joined by grapefruit and blackcurrant. Notes mention Titanic, Galena, Cascade... Blackcurranty hop tang, soft nutty malts, caramel, insinuating citrus. Surprisingly tangy, well-hopped red ale.

Bottle at GBBF With the angry fist table. A lround rating: A malty lager, brown and ruby malts, slightly like a ruby mild, but thin and over carbed.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at GBBF.
Dark amber colour, virtually no head and not the best looking beer full stop. Sweet, tart, herbacious and more sweetness. Very bland and uninspiring but inoffensive... just.

Cask at GBBF 08. Deep amber colouration. Sugary, malty aroma which leads into a strong caramel flavour. Quite light given the strength. Not that impressive.
