The head is ok, the body dark red. It smells hoppy, a bit roasty, malty. The taste is a bit bitter, flowery, caraamber, malty, roasty. A good Irish Ale. 12/12/12/12/-/12

Geruch nach Äpfeln, Karamell, und ein bisschen nach Keksen. Geschmack einerseits geprägt durch Malz andererseits durch sehr angenehm harmonisierte Hopfennoten.

Cask Stillage at the Memorial Hall, Northwich 22/09/2006 Fruity rich aroma. Amber coloured and slightly rich and creamy on the palate. Fruit flavours. Some sourness and dryness in the roast malt finish.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2009 Draught, Bull and Castle, Dublin. Bright ruby with a persistent collar and lace. Woodsy cask-like hints on the snout, joined by grapefruit and blackcurrant. Notes mention Titanic, Galena, Cascade... Blackcurranty hop tang, soft nutty malts, caramel, insinuating citrus. Surprisingly tangy, well-hopped red ale.

Red copper, clear, thin off white head
Aroma - Caramel malt, some raisin fruits, sweet fruity malty
Taste - Caramel malts, soft raisin fruits, touch of sweet toffee, good flavour
Palate - Soft carb, light to medium body, quite smooth, fairly sweet palate. Finish as main flavour, soft toffee malt tail
Overall - Nice fruity malts - a decent Irish Ale

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2009 @ Franciscan Well in Cork: Warm clear reddish amber, short lasting head, weak notes of hops, getting stronger in mouth where malt fruit, and yeast is adding up. Sweet flavour, and lack of finish.
