COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A German "Dunkel" (dark) brewed as a Lager with Two Row Malt, Munich Malt and some Roasted Malts. Spiced up with German Hops from the Hallertau and a German Lager Yeast gives this Brew a nice dunkel (dark) color and some Malt sweetness with a nice finish of balanced Hops and a little chocolaty taste for the finish.

Dark Brown brew that smells of chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is mostly the chocolate malts with a small hint of burnt toast. very thin brew that just somehow feels more like drinking flavored water.

Dark beer with a fluffy beige head. Sweet grainy nose with come chocolate notes. I get lots of chocolate out of this beer with some toast and more bitter chocolate and roasted grains in the finish.

Bottled. Pours a deep cola brown with a fair head and good lacing. Faint nose, a bit metallic cocoa. Toasted bread, light sweetness, drinkable but a touch thin and very low carbonation.

Bottle:   Deep burnt brown sugar, small to moderate frothy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Sweet roasted malt nose.   Also bready in the dark bread variety.   Smooth, roasty, very light lactose like sweetness.   Middle of road Dunkel, but without much to criticize.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, light, a bit pedestrian overall but decent.   A bit of chocolate or cocoa as well on the finish.   Thanks Bill!

On tap at Flying Saucer Addison. Poured a clear brown with a small tan top and some nice lacing. Taste of caramel malts, nutty, slight spice. Medium carbonation, thin-medium body.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, poorly retained light beige head, over a clear brown (SRM 20) body.....nose is moderate coffee, lighter chocolate, malted grains, minimal hops, hints of fruit.....taste is dry, with coffee, chocolate tones, leading to a moderate hop bitter finish....mouth feel medium, carbonation makes a clean light acid finish. The malts are a bit too roasted for the style, and a bit of crystal/caramel malt would be welcome to add sweetness and depth to aroma and flavor. BJCP 7/2/13/4/6

Black beer with consistent lacing and very little carbonation. I know others tasted chocolate and coffee, but I got a smokey wood flavor throughout. The body was light with almost no aftertaste or bitterness. It lacked a little depth, but I would definitely drink this again for that smokey flavor.

Nose of toasted malts with nutty notes. A rapidly diminishing tan head rests on a ruddy brown pour producing ringed lacing as the beer disappears. Chocolate, lightly roasted malts, and nuts constitute the flavor. While hops are present, this is definitely a malt forward brew. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel initially with a bit of fizz at the end. Overall, I liked this beer. It has a very nice mildly roasted malt quality and is well balanced and vey consumable.
