Draught > Flying Saucer. OK but not great. Lots of chocolate flavor and a OK body on this one. Might help if this one were a tad bigger.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Old Monk. Light brown and filtered. Malty nose. Taste is a bit harsh, with some malty notes. Overall just a plain beer with very few memorable moments.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tap @ Flying Saucer. Pours a lackluster tea brown with a slight beige head and an aroma of weak buttery nut and retarded red wine. Flavor is a vinuous licorice that ends up piercing the tongue briefly before subsiding. Average mouthfeel. Blah.

A passable enough take on the style, but a bit thinnish. Think I will have one of their Winters next instead.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A dark rootbeer colored beer with a smallish tan head Appears runny is consistency and looks praticaaly filtered, just dark and opaque from the color. Aroma is of rich earthen wheat malt and a bit af roastedness. Taste is rich and full with deep wheat and lightly roasted barley malt flavors. The mothfeel of the beer is very agreeable. It draws down with no lace and has a satisying finish thats much like the flavor with some coffee notes added and short-lived.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Draught House. Too sweet and slightly undercarbonated. Caramel flavor rather than the normal roasted tones. Not all so terrible and my oldest enjoyed it without complaint.
