COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A German "Dunkel" (dark) brewed as a Lager with Two Row Malt, Munich Malt and some Roasted Malts. Spiced up with German Hops from the Hallertau and a German Lager Yeast gives this Brew a nice dunkel (dark) color and some Malt sweetness with a nice finish of balanced Hops and a little chocolaty taste for the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with ruby highlights when held to the sun. Lots of chocolate/mocha/coffee flavors and a nice roasty aroma. Mouthfeel is a bit creamy due to low carbonation level. One of the best dunkels I have had and one of my favorites from this brewery.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a creamy, tan, fine-grained head. Nose is coffee, steamed okra, and a light gravy or broth. Good flavor -- roasted grain, cafe au lait, and smoke -- but relatively light body, although the mouthfeel is pleasantly creamy. Finish is long, clean, and simple. It won’t rock your world, but it’s a nice dunkel.

DArk brown pour, tan head that leaves quickly. Nose is dark roasted malt. Slightly sweet. Middle is coco and thin molasses. Finish shows a slight bitterness, still a little sweet

Pours a dark brown with off-white head. Spice, roasted malt, and some caramel on the nose; follows onto the palate. An average dunkel.

Bottle thanks to fiveacestx. medium brown pour with an off white head. Nutty aromas of a typical Dunkle. Sweet taste that finishes clean. Usually don’t like this style but this was in line more with a nut brown.

Light brown with light tan head that dispersed quickly. Carbonation seems on the low side, but may be appropriate for the style. This beer has a lightly sweet grainy malt taste with minimal bittering. Body was thinner than I had anticipated. This is a very easy drinking beer. Overall I enjoyed it and would have another.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass- poured a semi transparent brown color when held to a light source, thin tan ring around the glass for a head. Aroma of Hershey’s chocolate and a light roasted malt. Hits the mouth with medium body, malt is firm but isn’t roasted as much as I thought it might be, middle holds up well, finish has a sweet sensation to it. It’s going to be a LONG night of drinking for me tonight...

3/24/2014. 12 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a creamy tan head. Aromas are roasted malt with hints of chocolate. Flavors are chocolate, malt, dark fruit. Creamy and balanced. Not bad at all.
