On tap at brewery for Christmas tour. Pours a cloudy orange with off-white head. Aroma of banana, oak, wheat malt, hints of citrus and sherry. Flavor is much the same with a touch of alcohol spice with a pleasant sweetness. Mouth feel is medium-heavy, soft, with medium carbonation. Overall, a nice treat from Franconia!

On tap at the Holy Grail as part of the pub’s Texas Independence celebration. The beer pours a hazy orange color with an off-white to tan head. The aroma has a nice bit of oak, with some banana and toffee notes also thrown in. Smells about how I expected it to. The taste is not as good as the aroma. I get a lot of toffee and banana notes, but there is also a lot of sugar in the taste that reminds me of circus peanuts. I get a little bit of oak and some clove characteristics, but the main thing in the flavor is an overbearing sweetness. Medium, creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Easy to drink. Toffee or caramel prominent. No bitterness at all. Would pair well with most desserts. Even he Jalapeño cheesecake.

On tap at the brewery. New Years Eve. Cloudy brown-red pour with an off-white head. Aroma is grapey, dark fruit, and banana. Taste is woody, plum, vanilla, and more vine. Nice mouthfeel.
