3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Mora2000 (4055) - McKinney, Texas, USA - FEB 24, 2013
On tap at the Holy Grail. Golden yellow with a white head. The aroma is full of grain and biscuit malt with a hint of hops. The flavor is similar. I get a light amount of bitterness which is accompanies by some toffee and biscuit malt. As the beer warms I also get some light brown sugar in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice traditional pilsner.

Had on Draft @ the Gingerman before the marathon .. . Pours a gold bar gold, light sticky lacing .. . bitter bitterness, with a corn/caramel sweetness- quite balanced .. . easy to down, a non thinker and quite cool .. . would have liked a slightly more cutting bitterness to it but .. . dad! ladybird’s scooting again!

(draught - Ginger man Dallas) slightly hazy gold. Mild malt aroma. Flavor was mild malt. Lacked the crispness I’d expect from a pils.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cavie (3382) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - MAR 1, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 5, 2011 On tap at the FW Ginger Man. Sad that it took a year to finally get this distributed to Fort Worth. And yes, I noticed that we were left out on this last year....don’t let it happen again.
Pours a very clear golden color with a soft white head. Fairly light aroma. Some sweet grain notes but otherwise it’s pretty faint. Flavor is soft floral notes with a nice mix of candied sugar and decorative soap. Finishes floral as well with a gentle bitterness. There is almost a spicy pineapple like fruit flavor in this. It’s there but it disappears quickly as well. Aftertaste burps bring up some floral hops i didn’t pick out before. Certainly one of the nicer things to come out of McKinney. Like I said, sucks it took so long.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Tejas (800) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 4, 2010
Draught > Tillmans Roadhouse. I love a great solid pils. This one is just solid. Lacks complexity so it’s a bit simple. Needs some spice and bitterness but still a good drinker.
