COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bavarian Style Wheat Beer. This beer has a large popularity in particular in southern Germany. Using an original German yeast strain in the brewing process contributes to the natural fruity flavor of Banana, Orange and Cloves, giving it a outstanding refreshing taste. Our Wheat Beer comes unfiltered leaving all the natural goodness in it.

Wheat beer light. The aroma was faint wheat and citrus. The color was a light golden but clear. Not what I would expect from a Hefeweizen. It almost looked filtered even though they say it wasnít. Flavors where wheat, lemon and maybe some clove but no banana as advertised. It was crisp and easy to drink but very lightweight. I know this brewery really tries to hold to particular Bavarian styles so it might be the reason Iím not particularly fond of this version.

Bottle. Pours a lovely rich gold with a fine-grained white head and visible carbonation. Nose is banana, papaya, clove, allspice, a touch of smoke, and grain. Really vivid flavored; clean and crisp, tropical without being sweet, and hearty. Finish is long and elegant. Very well made.

Pours a cloudy golden color with white head. Raw wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. Not much else there, but not all bad.

Hazy yellow orange pour. Smell is banana bubblegum and wheat. Taste is banana spiced yeast with lemony finish and wheat. Rich body and soft carbonation. Would like a touch more prickle. Overall a very well made and tasty wheat beer.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2014 Initially pours a clear, golden color until the bottom of the bottle - which is covered with sediment. Ends up cloudy with a small 1/2 finger head that didnít last. It Smells and taste quite different for a hefe but it has got good character. Some banana, and clove come thru as well as a strong yeast flavor. Outstanding wheat beer!

Pours a fairly clear straw yellow. Minimal white head. Aroma is really nice. Wheat and some yeast. Freshly mowed grass. Slightly sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes somewhat sweet. Nice.

This unfiltered offering from our local brewery is one of my favorites. Not your typical hefe. Herbal and citrus notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, ivory head, with some lacing, over a cloudy yellow (SRM 3) body...nose is cereal, vague hints of banana, lemon....taste is cereal, light clove, minimal banana, finishing with a vague, ginger clove....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation adds light tingle. The yeast did a very minimal job creating the appropriate esters and phenolics, making for a rather dull Hefe. Perhaps a change in yeast would help. BJCP 5/2/9/4/5

I enjoyed this beer. The lighter beers never rate that high because of the lack of complexity. However, the taste was pleasant with a light banana flavor with a decent, not bitter, finish.

Bottle:   Dirty straw, little to no head, nor lacing.   Soft wheat and sulphur on the nose.   Smells a bit fartish.   Actually moreso Dank.   Moderately sweet mealiness up front.   No clove or banana to speak of.   To me it also has a faint bit of cod roe flavor to it, tart yet a little sweet.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes not like a German Hefe... but more like a... yeah, I guess not like anything else.   Not like any German Wheat I have had.   Donít care to have again.   Thanks Bill!
