COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bavarian Style Wheat Beer. This beer has a large popularity in particular in southern Germany. Using an original German yeast strain in the brewing process contributes to the natural fruity flavor of Banana, Orange and Cloves, giving it a outstanding refreshing taste. Our Wheat Beer comes unfiltered leaving all the natural goodness in it.

Slightly cloudy, bright yellow, white head. Doughy banana flavor. Absolutely perfectly refreshing wheat taste with a hint of vanilla and banana and the perfect body and mouthfeel. Heavy lace and a satisying finish. There’s just no other way to put it.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2009 Franconia Brewery. Poured a nice light cloudy yellow/orange with rich white head with very nice retention. Aroma of light lemon and orange citris, notes of banana. Flavor is very malty, hints of lemon & orange as well as banana. Body is medium mouthfeel with medium-high carbonation. Overall, I was pleasantly suprised, this is a very nice wheat beer. I look forward to trying more beers from them.

May be one of the best American Hefe’s that I have ever had. Very well done. There is a bit of the same sweetness that the Lager had, but much more restrained and much better placed. Good lacing and wonderful spice.

Draft @ Fillmore Pub Plano. Hazy amber with a frothy head. Nice tart wheat, grainy, peppercorn spicy aroma. Smooth and full bodied. Nice mildly sweet flavors with cloves, yeasty tart wheat, and citrus fruits. A very tasty Hefe here. Really hit the spot on a 98* Mid June Dallas afternoon.

On tap at the Old Monk in Dallas. Nice hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Nose of bananas, fruit, spices, yeast and wheat. Full body and flavoring-need I say it comes close to Live Oak??? Very nice beer and one of the best domestic hefe’s I’ve had.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2011 Clouded orange pour. Wheat aroma and taste with lots of citrus notes. Quite a good wheat, probably the best thing to come out of Franconia yet. 4.1
RE-RATE 4/9/11 Tap at the brewery. This beer pours a cloudy golden orange color. It has a nice frothy head. Very hazy which is due to being non-filtered.

Clove sweetness on the nose, wheat tones and gentle fruit. I would say this is banana aromas.

Banana flavor for sure, with light bread and fresh grain. Yeasty aroma and flavor as it warms. Tasty. I haven’t had the wheat in quite awhile but I am liking how it has changed over time.
