Very good interpretation of an english india pale. Not as hoppy as the american style, but smooth, bitter, and easy to drink. The english style is more complex, in my opinion, with a greater emphasis on balance. Great stuff that I’d love to get again.

I have no idea how old the bottle I just drank is. Seeings how the stuff is not available anymore and its been 5 years since anybody else has rated it, I would say this bottle is at least 5-6 years old. It has aged well! 12 oz bottle. Pours a reddish brown hue. Surprisingly dark for an IPA. Not much of a head or lacing. Age has made this brew mellow and smooth. There was no bitterness or aftertaste that you often get with IPA’s. The hop flavor was there, just not bitter. You could taste some roasted malt flavor. Mouthfeel was heavy. I really enjoyed this beer. It does make me wonder what it tasted like when it was new and fresh.

Beautiful dark amber color. Not quite hoppy enough for my tastes in an IPA. Brewed and bottled by Nutfield Brewing.

Hazy copper. Thin off white edge head. Light but steady carbonation. Aroma of caramel, Ringwood yeast and light pine. Crisp and bitter with a light body and watery malts. Bitter hop balance, but no real distinctive flavor. Bitter aftertaste. Dry, very light roasted malt flavor but not much else. Smelled and tasted old and stale. Not good.

Nutfield brought this beer back. It had not been brewed for a while, and I believe that they are not the original brewers of it. I really do not care for it. The beer the classic yeast flavor of other Nutfield ales I think.
