Dark brown colored, medium sized yellow head. Hopped, slightly dry and earthy aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also hopped with dry tones, mild roastiness and chocolate. Slightly watery palate. Aftertaste lasts with hops.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 D (577) - Gdynia, POLAND - AUG 10, 2006
Brownish colour, medium head. I particularily enjoyed the malt notes, though I’d like the flavour to be more intensive. Still drank the whole bottle with pleasure.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yngwie (8717) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 1, 2006
UPDATED: APR 2, 2010 Bottled. Clear, sparkling, reddish-brown beer with an off-white head. So far, so good, but the rest isn’t. Malt, grain and hay in the aroma, and the flavor the same, except there is some hops too. Thin body, and a real disappointment. Rating: 2-4-3-2-7-1.8. 060616
Can, at RBNAG -09. A clear, dark golden beer with an off-white head of moderate size. Bready, worty caramel nose with some meaty notes. Not much impact from the hops here. Bready flavor, dry, yet sweetish, finishing bready and dry. Medium body. A decent one, goes down easy, but is a bit one-dimensional. 091107
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 EithCubes (3053) - GERMANY - JUN 17, 2006
Bottle. Dark copper pour, almost dark brown, active tan head. Smells of caramel and sugar, dark roastiness is subdued. Bitter and crisp beginning levels off and finished creamy and smooth. Dark caramel. Dry finish with very mild hoppiness. Could use a bit more flavor, what it has is good but too shy. Thanks to MoritzF!

I don’t if it is fair to compare imported alts to fresher domestic alts or draft versions in Germany. No, I know it isn’t fair. But, I have no choice but to rip this one as a WEAK German Altbier. Poured a dark red-brown color with an initial head built solely off of some carbonation (ie. it was gone after the bubbles popped quickly). The lacing was average. The aroma was really malty and caramel-like. The flavor was way too much caramel, even some bubble gum. The hopping was really weak for an altiber and I was thoroughly unimpressed at this find (alts don’t fall off trees around here). I suggest you not get this unless you’re in the Dusseldorf area - I won’t unless I’m there.
