Countbeer (4397) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - SEP 10, 2013
Bottle: Served in a Frankenheim Pils glass: Bigger sized off white foamy head, vast and sticky but somewhat airy. A clear amber brown colored beer. Aromas of malts, toast, leaves, some autumnal herbs, some soap and some slight slight hints if something like cleaner. Flavours of bitters, malts, leaves, light toast, some nuts, light meal, some hay, light grainy and some dry barley malts. Aftertaste is a mix of malts, toast, leaves and light dry. Low carbo, soft watery creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a texture between creamy and watery.

Hanoi (384) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2013
Bottle. My first experience of an Alt. Nose is toast and malt, slight cereal, very gentle hint of smoke. Taste is very woody leading to hazelnuts, cereal and a waft of smoke, spice and butter in the finish. Mouthfeel is light and too fizzy for my taste. A reasonable experience but I wouldn’t rush back.

ThirstyBird (1544) - Düsseldorf, GERMANY - AUG 23, 2013
Pours a bright dark amber color with a light tan head. The smell is roasted malt, sweet fruit, touch of caramel. Taste is a roast, fruity, slightly nutty combo ending a bit dry. Light body with average carbonation. A decent macro altbier though nothing great either.

Bottle from Beer Hive, Edinburgh [240513]
Caramel brown, clear, bubbly thin white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft sweet toasted malt, light caramel malts
Taste of caramel malts, soft roasted grains, touch of biscuit, bitter hops, dull
Palate - Medium carb - bit over fizzy, thinnish body, light oily texture. Finish as main flavour, some bitterness, little dry, rapid finish
Overall - This didn’t impress me at all, dull and boring
