2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 kuphish (352) - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA - NOV 7, 2011
Bottle. Pours a large, rocky, off-white head. Lasting and lacy. Very clingy. Clear, copper body. Aroma is mildly estery with bready pale malt and a touch of toffee. No real hop presence or munich malt. Seltzery flavor. Lightly sour and dusty...somewhat papery. Really kind of unpleasant. Light body, moderate carbonation, lightly sweet and relatively bitter. Finish is kind of candyish. Overall pretty disappointing and not so tasty. Might have to try a second bottle.

just tried this flat, boring beer on tap last night, very little head, no carbonation, and a rather bland taste makes for a real stiff!
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Geiserich (2339) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - FEB 23, 2005
Bottled:
Fresh, light fruity aroma. Brown to bronze color, creamy head. Taste ist grainy, barley notes, bitter. Light metallic, some roasted malt notes. Reminds me on a bad pilsener or mass product.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Bierlieber (49) - Evanston, Illinois, USA - MAY 25, 2003
watered down, old tasting beer. maybe a fresher example would have been better, but untill i have it this brand is bad.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2012
In August 2006 I wrote this on BA: This beer used to be a great example of an Alt Beer. Sadly something has happened (has Warstiener messed with the ingrediants?).
I used to buy 5 litre mini barrels of it when I lived in Germany. So when on holiday on the Mosel, I saw it on tap in a bar I happened to be in, I revisited it.
It is lighter, appeared weaker and almost tasteless, not the beer I remembered at all, very dissappointed!
Of course it may well have been only poor in the bar I was in, so please try it if you see it, and let me know if it was a one off on my part.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 VA Homebrewer (525) - Portsmouth, Virginia, USA - AUG 22, 2002
Initially sortof roasty before settling into a sweetish grapy flavor. Marzenlike? Finish was dry. Dark cola color with a tiny head. Not very full and no real aroma other than a generic sweetness. Somewhat disappointing.

nasty industrial alt. dark brown, fizzy, thin no-frills cooking chocolate flavour and a touch of burnt stuff - what im not sure. stick to diebels for your massmarket alt.
