22 oz draft, aroma is clean but faint, almost nonexistent. Very nice head that clings to the glass as you drink it with a golden, slightly hazy color. Good flavor of pine and citrus hops, overall a decent ipa.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute and left a light lacing lingering around the sides of the glass. The smell had a nice blend of sweet citrus hops to English malts rolling around underneath my nose. The taste took the citrus and the malts and combined nicely. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. For an IPA, this one seemed a bit under carbonated and I didn’t get the usual harshness I expect in an IPA. Overall, the smell, appearance and taste are ther, but the palate just doesn’t exactly feel right for an IPA. Did I have an old bottle? I’d only have again if I could guarantee a fresher bottle.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Cloudy to murky bright orange-amber with a 3-finger dusty off-white head and very good lacing. Muted aroma of citrus, caramel floral hops. Taste is similar. Medium body and medium/high carbonation. Nothing special here, but a reasonably decent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated on 01-24-2012. This bottled beer has a small semi-fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, pale yellow hazy body, fast rising, fizzy carbonation observed, and no lacing. The aroma is malt, citrus, pine, and floral hops. The flavor is moderately bitter, grapefruit, malt, citrus, and pine hops. The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is quite hoppy tasting and one for the hop heads. The hops dominate the aroma and flavor and rightly so for the style. This is a quaffable IPA, but it is a bit too hoppy tasting for this non-hop head.

Very light body for an IPA. The aroma is sweet and complex. Has great aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2014 Bottle: Yeast clouded amber & slightly sunburst body, topped with a big head that’s somewhere between off-white & eggshell in color. Aroma has some toasted biscuit, faint citric peel, white pepper, ashy hops, & a hint of light caramel malt. Taste is similar with a hop combo that is slightly citric (grapefruit pith & orange peel) with a finish more English-like (earthy, spicy, peppery, floral-ish). Strong malty base, more toasty than anything, slight hints of Munich with finishing kiss of sweetness. Herbal hop, sharp aftertaste. A decent IPA from Frankenmuth, really cuts through the senses. I’d like to know what hops were used for this.

Draft pint. Orange amber color. Small, thin head. Slightly cloudy. Hey look... this is not an awesome IPA. But it is a solid, drinkable ale. More carmel and pine than most American IPAs. Enough citrus to keep it interesting. Would have no qualms grabbing another one if I saw it on tap.
