Bottle from Blue Dog. Pours pale gold with a finger of white head and a lot of carbonation streams. Nose is Saaz hops, pale malt, citrus, mild apple. Tastes pale malty, somewhat sweet, with a medium to light palate heft and complexity. Not great.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 polomagnifico (942) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - APR 6, 2012
On tap. Aroma has notes of citrus hops, lager yeast and cereal malts. Pale golden hue with a small mostly diminishing white head that left little lace. Light bodied and average carbonation. Overall lightly sweet and very light bitterness.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hotstuff (3249) - Indiana, USA - APR 4, 2012
Bottle purchased at Siciliano’s Market in Grand Rapid, MI in December, 2011 and rated on 4-04-2012. Poured a small semi-fizzy white head that was mostly lasting with no lacing, transparent body, fizzy, fast-rising carbonation, and a pale yellow hue. The Aroma was pale malt, corn and flora. The Flavor was lightly bitter, malty, corn and a short semi-dry finish. The Mouthfeel was tingly and this is medium bodied Pilsener. Overall, not a lot going on with this beer and the flavor was rather bland in my opinion.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hopscotch (7542) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Bottle… Florida Craft Beer and Wing Fest 2012… Crystal clear, straw-colored lager with a small, fizzy, white head. Decent retention. The faint bouquet is of creamed corn and extra pale malt. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is perfectly balanced – zippy bitterness offsets pale grain sweetness. Short, crisp, dry finish.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Atom (689) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 27, 2012
12oz bottle pours a bright clear yellow/golden with a long lasting small white head. Aroma of grain, yeast, and hops. Taste is sweet with a dry bitterness. Nice carbonation. Not amazing but pretty decent.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 r464 (1115) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Light and rather crisp. A malty base that is not very sweet, leading to a light and crisp finish that hints at hops but does not bring it on too strong. Better than a macro.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 wmubronco1992 (415) - Coldwater, Michigan, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Bottle. Pours a straw color. Tiny white head that disipated quickly into a small film. Faint grainy aroma. Flavor of grain with just a bit of hop bitterness. Very crisp with some bitterness in the mouthfeel. Hard to get excited about a pilsner, but this was decent, nothing offensive.
2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 milewide (1073) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Clear golden color with light head. Not much aroma. Main and aftertaste were modest bitterness. Nothing special.
2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Onslow (713) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Clear pale golden brew with lively carbonation and two fingers of white head. LIght aroma. Taste is light grains with a somewhat rought finish marked by short lived bitter and sour hops. A little vegetal funk in the finish to boot. I’d look for a longer, lingering, dry finish in a pilsener, but here it is short, brutish, but dry. Thinner palate bolstered by lively carbonation. I’m a little disappointed becuase so far I have really liked Frankenmuth’s offerings.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Tmoney99 (7300) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2011
Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This a soft drinkable brew.
