3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very hazy yellow pale pour with quite a bit of head. Very unique taste. I’m used to my Weizen having a fruit taste, usually citrus. This one though tastes like banana. Yes banana. This ss not a bad thing.

A very good, albeit second-tier, Bavarian Hefeweizen. Not in the same league as true Bavarians Weihenstephan or Schneider, but one of the better American offerings. The Weissbier from Redwood Lodge (Flint) , Jim’s Hefe, is closer to the Bavarian ideal.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. Aromas of banana, lemon, and clove come through to the nose. There are also some notes of orange. Lots of soapy white head sits atop a clear butter pale beer - much more clear than I?d expect from a hefe. The head retains well and leaves a puffy lace. The taste is a medium high sweet with a medium light bitter. The texture is slick and oily with a soft creamy carbonation and light body. It finishes with a watery banana, lemon, and grain quality with a spice note. The aftertaste is relatively clean.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured from 12 oz. bottle.
Hazy, straw color with an off-white head and fair lacing. A fine yeasty sediment had accumulated in the bottom of the bottle and added to the haziness. I stopped pouring when I saw the sediment, but some had already gotten into the glass
Aroma of wheat, caramel, cloves, bananas, yeast, very mild lemon and a touch of earthy hops.
Taste of wheat, sour lemon, sweet malt, cloves, yeast and bananas.
Light/medium body and medium/low carbonization.
Rather sweet for a hefeweizen. The elements that make for a good classic hefeweizen are there, but understated.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottle - Pours lightly hazy yellow with a small white head and a yeasty, banana aroma. It has a light, mild, sweet flavor of wheat malt with a little yeast spice and banana. Okay.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very light haze in a pale straw color with a thin head cover and light swirls of lace. The taste begins with wheat malt that blooms as it crosses the palate. On the swallow a whole new collections of taste sweep back through on a table of bitter carbonation - spices, banana, and sweet caramel malt that all lingers nicely. Unusual and quite drinkable. Recommended.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a clear yellow with a medium white head. There is a slight hops aroma and i can actually smell a bit of the banana they claim. It is medium sweet with a light sour. It has a light body and thin texture that. It has a bit of a pucker factor with the sourness. Meh as far as overall beers go and I’m not really a fan of hefeweizen.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Nearly totally clear yellow color. Thin white head. Decent lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Vanilla, light banana, light spicy hefe flavors. Moderate sweet. Alright hefeweizen, despite being completely clear.
