COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A sweet mixture of spices and fruit with hints of clove and banana, this refreshingly pale German wheat is top fermented, unfiltered and lightly hopped to achieve its smooth, pleasant flavor and unmistakable cloudy appearance.

Very bubbly bright orange/brown pour with quarter inch white head. Wonderful aroma of clove, lemon, metallic hops, waxy paraffin/wheat. Soft carbonation, foamy mouthfeel, crisp finish. Flavor of clove, wheat, lemon, grassy hops, Apple and pear. Great tasting Hefeweizen albeit a bit light.

Refrigerated 12 oz. refrigerated brown bottle from clownoiseur poured into a weizen glass. The bottle is labeled as the hef with a red minature dauchsund dressed as Hugh Hefner. Slightly hazy golden with medium bright whtie head. Aroma is rainy banana, medium body, medium/well carbonation, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is banana and some clove. Pretty solid.

Tap: Labeled as "The Hef". Super cloudy pear-yellow color. Opaque. Aroma of mild bubblegum, bread, yeast, faint clove, a touch of banana esters, & a hint of lemon zest. Flavor is more lemon & citrus zest up front & in the finish. Middle has clove, biscuit, gummy yeast, & a bit of banana. Kind of watery at times. Thin-ish mouth feel. Not bad.

Very hazy yellow pale pour with quite a bit of head. Very unique taste. I’m used to my Weizen having a fruit taste, usually citrus. This one though tastes like banana. Yes banana. This ss not a bad thing.

A very good, albeit second-tier, Bavarian Hefeweizen. Not in the same league as true Bavarians Weihenstephan or Schneider, but one of the better American offerings. The Weissbier from Redwood Lodge (Flint) , Jim’s Hefe, is closer to the Bavarian ideal.

12 oz bottle poured into a shaker. Aromas of banana, lemon, and clove come through to the nose. There are also some notes of orange. Lots of soapy white head sits atop a clear butter pale beer - much more clear than I?d expect from a hefe. The head retains well and leaves a puffy lace. The taste is a medium high sweet with a medium light bitter. The texture is slick and oily with a soft creamy carbonation and light body. It finishes with a watery banana, lemon, and grain quality with a spice note. The aftertaste is relatively clean.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Hazy, straw color with an off-white head and fair lacing. A fine yeasty sediment had accumulated in the bottom of the bottle and added to the haziness. I stopped pouring when I saw the sediment, but some had already gotten into the glass Aroma of wheat, caramel, cloves, bananas, yeast, very mild lemon and a touch of earthy hops. Taste of wheat, sour lemon, sweet malt, cloves, yeast and bananas. Light/medium body and medium/low carbonization. Rather sweet for a hefeweizen. The elements that make for a good classic hefeweizen are there, but understated. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle - Pours lightly hazy yellow with a small white head and a yeasty, banana aroma. It has a light, mild, sweet flavor of wheat malt with a little yeast spice and banana. Okay.
