3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Crisp citrusy aroma with a quickly dissolving head and urine color. That aside it had a medium sweet taste to it with a bold citrusy finish, a little above normal for a hefeweizen. Definitely a repeat purchase.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a straw gold yellow with thick white head, minimal lacing. Aroma of wheat, yeast, spices, clove, banana, and a slight toast. Flavor matches well and is very drinkable. I could definitely drink many of these and not get bored. Extra points for that.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Aroma has notes of banana, spice, clove and citrus. Cloudy pale yellow hue with a white head that left OK lace. Light bodied and average carbonation. Decent.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle… Florida Craft Beer and Wing Fest 2012… Hazy straw-colored ale with a small, white head. The bouquet offers nuances of clove and banana with whispers of smoke and bubblegum. Light to medium-bodied and mildly creamy with prickly carbonation. The well-balanced, sufficiently bittered flavor presents overripe banana with a hint of clove and a rumor of acidity. Finishes crisp, lightly bitter and a tad dry. Well crafted and cleanly brewed. Simply not a favorite style of mine.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 12 oz bottle courtesy of Strykzone. Pour is a hazy gold with a big foamy white head and light lacing. Nose of wheat, lemon, and cloves. Light to medium body, and with a classic hefe flavor showing banana and cloves mostly. The lemon shows again in the finish. Pretty solid offering.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle; Pour is slightly cloudy light golden with an average white head that retains fairly well into this glass. Light lacing is present here as well. I feel like the nose is the highlight of this brew; excellent hefeweizen notes are present here: sweet ripened bananas, wheat, and spices are present. The flavor profile seems a bit muted out of the gate for me. There is a bitterness present up front that moves through the finish and only closer to the end do you get the traditional elements. It is highly carbonated, for what that is worth. Regardless of that, this is a nice drinker, though.

Pours hazy yellow with light clove notes that show more of a fruit and citrus base and a light easy finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2011 Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Cloudy pale gold brew with a thin white head. Ample lacing as the glass is drained. Excellent aroma of wheat, close, citrus. Flavorful for a hefe, with a smooth and almost sweet wheat flavor blending into a spicy end with lingering lemon sour in the aftertaste. This owuld probably be great with a slice of lemon in it - I don’t have any on hand to try. Nice palate - thin as you’d expect but still satisfying. As with all Frankenmuth brews, very refined with good complexity, absolutely noting off or unpleasant. I hope this is around all summer...

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy blond color with medium head. Fine spice aroma and taste. Medium body. No hops. Hefeweizen is too bland for my tastes, but this is a fine domestic example.
