This refreshingly pale German wheat is top fermented, unfiltered and lightly hopped to achieve its smooth, pleasant flavor and unmistakable cloudy appearance. 2016 World Expo of Beer competition Gold Medal winner for Best German Wheat.

draft sampler from brewery. An aroma of yeast and banana. Cloudy appearance. Light moutfeel, a bit watery. Spicy with citrus notes, light dry finish.

Pours a very cloudy dark yellow color with almost no head. Aroma is filled with banana and clove and not much else. Taste is sweeter than the usual hefe. The banana and clove taste does not overpower too much though. Pretty smooth finish as well. A pretty good hefe. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours mostly clear and with little head even with a lot of bottle agitation and a strong pour. Aroma and taste are okay, reminiscent of a good German hefe, but lacking body more than anything.

pours yellow with moderate white head.typical banana and clove aroma.flavor is the same.2nd frankenmuth beer ive tried in as many days and gotta say im not impressed.dont get me wrong they are drinkable but being from michigan and the great breweries you have to compete with here you gotta put things out that are better than average, and thats what ive seen from their products thus far.drinkable but i would choose another hefe out of the beer cooler next time.

This beer is close to franzincaner (sp?) - clove like aroma and taste. There is a slight emptiness to it when the yeast is not stirred in. overall, delicious, refreshing, and smooth... A bit more up front esters would suit my tastes better.

Bottle - Pours cloudy yellow with a thin fluffy white head. Nose has some of the banana/clove mix with mineral dryness and sweet wheat. Taste is much the same. Not as pungent and clean as I’d like it--more doughy yeast clouds it all up. But it’s flavorful and smooth, with tropical fruit and light spicing on the finish. Pretty big body, slick and smooth with ample carbonation. Surprised by this one--it’s pretty good.

Has a good pour, cloudy and hazy. Have had from bottle and tap, as a wheat advocate its very comparable to some of my favorites, like Paulener. Not quite near the Bells wheat series best offering but a solid Hefe you can get if you can find it. Tastes like a Hefe and the grains, background of Hefe are present especially in aftertaste. One of the better beers out of MI, for an ABV of its nature. I’d purchase this more than once as it is a completely solid beer. Frankenmuths finest.

Crisp citrusy aroma with a quickly dissolving head and urine color. That aside it had a medium sweet taste to it with a bold citrusy finish, a little above normal for a hefeweizen. Definitely a repeat purchase.
