COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for the city it calls home, this German style Lager has a distinguished dark appearance and a notably smooth sweet balanced flavor. The result gives our Dunkel a flavor of toasted bread and a malty finish.

Tastes like an off-batch. SMokey almost rubbery flavor dominates. Point has a tendency to fuck shit up.

Pours reddish-brown with a short, tan head. Scent is bready...toffee.... Taste is sweet...nutty, malty. A fairly average dunkel. Good.

Bottle - Pours dark caramel with a medium tan head. Nose is toffee, dark bread, and a light milkiness. Pretty sweet. Taste is sweet toffee, cut with a mineral taste, light toasted dark bread, yeast. Finishes with a long toffee sweetness. A bit of baking spice. Pretty smooth in the mouth, with ample carbonation and a fluffed-up body. Too sweet for my tastes, and pretty bland overall.

Pours a mostly clear dark amber-brown color with almost no head. Aroma is somewhat faint, mostly nuts, chocolate, and roasted malt. Taste is decent, slight chocolate sweetness, nice bitterness, toasted bread in the finish. Nothing special but a decent dunkel.

Draft. Poured dark brown with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate toasted malt flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration. Balanced drinkable brew.

12oz bottle pours darkish red/brown color. not opaque with off white head that lingered. the aroma is of slightly sweet roasted malts. no hop character at all. the flavor is of lightly roasted bready malts. doesnt taste like dunkels that i have had in the past,. average at best.

Bottled. Poured clear light-medium garnet with a creamy, well-retained beige head. The aroma picked up clean, sweet nutty malts, chocolate, and bread, with light, fresh herbal hop accents.. simple, but well done. The flavor found mostly nutty and caramel sweetness at the core, again with fresh herbal accents around.. a pinch of spicy rye toward the back.. clean, sweet finish. Light-bodied and refreshing, with a nice flow to it.. I liked this a lot more than I expected to.

Pours a solid mahogany brown with medium off-white head, decent lacing. aroma of toasted malt, cereal, bread, slight caramel, and a little nutty character. Flavor matches well and is extremely solid for the style.

Bottle from Festival Foods De Pere. Pours out nice with dark, reddish yet still clear color. Smells of light hops, very light on the aroma. Light on the taste as well, you can taste the bitterness of the hops, but it is not to strong. Nothing special, but does leave a good taste in your mouth.
