Sampled at the brewpub. This one had me confused. Caramel amber, thin white head. Scotchy, malty nose. Some citrus, but nothing overbearing. Flavor was well balanced. Malty, sweet, honey, caramel, floral, citrus, lemon, earthy. Full bodied, sweet finish.

On tap at the brewpub: Pours a clear deep golden with a small-bubbled froth of white head. Has a sweet toasty pale malt and wheaty nose with a touch of light fruits. Starts with good fullness and a smooth complex sweetness and a touch of light fruity notes and good lightly bitter balance before a crisp semi-sweet finish. A true to style, complex and enjoyable wheat wine.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 lamas (1200) - Washington DC, USA - APR 15, 2011
Draft on 04/14/11. Served in a tulip glass. Arrived at the table a clear orange/amber color with a thick and creamy beige head. A subtle aroma of caramel, Golden Delicious apples, plums, and candied sugar. Went down medium-bodied and slightly sticky. Lots of sweetness upfront with plenty of candied sugar, caramel, and plums. Some apples were present here and there. A touch of grapefruitiness at the tail end. Some alcohol warmth was present throughout. More subdued than I had expected. This one may still be a bit young.
