| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Draft at brewpub. What can I say... aroma is dry, hoppy and bitter. Flavor is more of the same. The body is nice and medium, but really not much going on with this beer. nimbleprop (951), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2009 Sampled on tap at the brewpub. This is a really hard beer to rate because they intentionally change the recipe every time. I actually like that concept though. This version was 7% abv and poured a hazy, orange with a whispy white head. Aroma is hoppy, grapefruit, pine, leoms, with a touch of grain. Flavor was mostly hops, more lemons, pine and grapefruit with also some crisp malts, crackers too. Bitter finish. Sessionable. bb (2976), Martinez, California, USA

Grapefruit, pine, and a nice resiny flavor. Good bitterness. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and pine resin lingers. ben4321 (1061), Rockville, Maryland, USA

I haven’t made a trip to Franklin’s in years, and I’m only about 20 minutes away, but back in the ’04-’05 range I tried a few different batches of this beer, and it usually ranged in the mid-3s, so I’ll give it the generic 3.5 for arguments sake... DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2009 Pours a darker honey with a foamy off-white head. Slightly sweet and citrusy aroma of Cascade hops. Very hop heavy flavor. You can feel the hop oils in your mouth. Lends to a creamy, mild malt base. Very smooth and only slightly bitter.
