lamas (1071) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 27, 2011
Draft on 02/25/11. Served in a tulip glass. Arrived at the table a hazy rust color with a smallish beige head. A pleasant aroma that featured plenty of candied sugar, juicy oranges, citrus rinds, white grapes, and a little vanilla extract. Medium-bodied and kinda syrupy on the way down. The taste started quite sweet with lots of candied sugar. A drying, mildly bitter finish with some citrus fruits and rinds. White grapes, vanilla extract, some plums, and an oakiness were present throughout. A fair amount of warming alcohol as well.
