Growler shared by drabmuh. Thanks Matt! The beer is mostly clear, with a very slight haze. The head is small and thin, fading within a few moments. The aroma is decent, with dank hops and a subtle Belgian yeast strain. The flavor is ok, but is generally unexciting. Where is the Belgian aspect of this beer? The yeast and floral notes from the Belgian yeast are very muted and restrained. Although the beer is hop forward, I find myself wanting more. The feel is medium bodied, with moderately low carbonation. Overall, this brew was drinkable, but the recipe could stand a few enhancements. Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 05-10-2011

Draft at brewpub. Poured a mostly clear golden orange color with a frothy white head at the very top (about one finger). Aroma was yeasty, with a nice resin hop character to it. Smells great. Flavor is a bit grapefruit hop, with a touch earthy notes, and plenty of yeast notes throughout. A fine beer.

On tap at the brewpub: Pours a clear deep golden brass with a spotty-lacing froth of off-white head. Has a fresh resiny grapefruity hoppy nose with some phenolic yeasty esters. Starts with pretty good fullness and fine carbonation with a light caramel malty sweetness and a good amount of citrusy hops and clove spice before a drier bittersweet finish. A good attempt at the style, but a little too phenolic.
