On tap at Franklins. Pours a very murky, very deeply translucent, nearly opaque amber with not one speck of head. Aroma was nice, sweet, malty, floral, biscuit dough, a little vinous fruit. Flavor was sweet, honey, caramel, Belgian yeast, malts. Finish is full bodied and sweet. Very nice. There are hints throughout the beer of the unique type of honey used. I just with there was some head.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 lamas (1071) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 22, 2010
Draft on 05/21/10. Arrived at the table a murky candy apple red with a skim of a tan head. Decent balance in the aroma with some caramel, biscuitiness, a bit of honey, and ample citrus fruitiness in the background. Medium-bodied. Tastes about like it smells. Semi-sweet upfront with some caramel and honey. A drying biscuitiness and a roasted maltiness follow. Bittering citrusy flavors bring up the rear. Very, very subtle estery undertones throughout. Not bad, but this one still needs some time to develop.
