Draft on 06/17/11. Came to the table a slightly hazy copper color with a smallish beige head. There was a nice balance to the aroma with plenty of caramel to offset the grapefruits, pine, and rye. Went down medium to full-bodied. There was excellent balance taste-wise as well. Lots of caramel and toffee upfront. Some drying biscuity qualities in the middle. A resiny finish with loads of grapefruits, citrus rinds, and some rye essence. Moderately warming. Very nice!

Cask at GBBF 2011. Amber color. Thick sweet juicy hop aroma with grapefruit, mango and lemon. Bittersweet flavor with grapefruity and lemony hops. Some nutty maltiness in the background. Strong mouth numbing bitterness and some alcohol sting. Nice juicy hop character but the mouthfeel is a bit stingy and hard.
