lamas (1201) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Draft on 06/17/11. Came to the table a slightly hazy copper color with a smallish beige head. There was a nice balance to the aroma with plenty of caramel to offset the grapefruits, pine, and rye. Went down medium to full-bodied. There was excellent balance taste-wise as well. Lots of caramel and toffee upfront. Some drying biscuity qualities in the middle. A resiny finish with loads of grapefruits, citrus rinds, and some rye essence. Moderately warming. Very nice!
