Cask at the Magpie, pours a deep dark red-brown with a thin but stable off-white head. A little coffee on the nose gives way to a malty-sweet yet hop-dry body with hints of milk chocolate and roast nuts. Clean and light hop-bitter finish.

Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, chalk, dark dried fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]

Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish, some bread and dough, some semi-dark fruits. Good.
