500ml bottle. Eye-wateringly carbonated after the 2 US beers I just saw off, but most definitely not without its charms. Pours a mellow, honeyed brass with an uneven, fine, well-retained whip of head. Juicy aroma dragging in botanicals, fresh grassy hop (despite being date-expired), dried apricots- in short, a right old sniffer. Mouth gritty citrus, tang of both orange and apple peel, flick of ash, creamy digestive linger. Top BC English of a kind I’ve not had for weeks.

A Mes rate:
Cask at Fringe. Golden brown with a slight white head. Aroma is not too great. Diacetyl and slight sweaty feet. Just about tolerable. Flavour is much better with some nice tart and dry hoppage a little grapefruit and a dusty dry finish.
