lamas (1071) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 31, 2011
Draft on 07/22/11. Arrived at the table a clear pale gold with a thick off-white head. A pleasant aroma of grassiness, crisp wheatiness, citrus rinds, and some lemon. Went down relatively thin, crisp, and refreshing. Lightly sweet upfront in the taste with some cereal graininess. Wheatiness followed with some drying grapefruity and lemony flavors toward the end. Refreshing. Very nice for the style.

CaptainCougar (6835) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUL 23, 2011
On tap at the brewpub: Pours a clear pale golden with a thin ring of white bubbles. Has a fairly fresh Saaz hoppy nose with some light grainy pale malty notes. Starts with average fullness and appropriate sweetness with some grain husks and an authentic Czech hop flavor and bitter balance before a crisp, clean finish. A pretty good example of the style.

Golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pils malt, floral hops, citrus fruits, and toast. Taste of light honey, toast, citrus, grass, and a noble hoppy bitter finish. Nice pils.
