nimbleprop (581), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jun 28, 2008 On the menu as "Belgian Tripel" and served in a 10oz goblet. Pale, yellow with a filmy, white head and little carbonation. Aroma is sweet, spicy, with plenty of alcohol esters, bananas and some clove. Flavor is pale and fruity, and a little bit of spice. Sticky in the mouth, dry and astringent finish. A touch too boozy for it’s own good. ryan (1706), Beltsville, Maryland, USA May 7, 2007 Hazy, pale body with small, white head. The aroma is very esters, banana, clove, some spice and alcohol. The flavor is slightly sweet, slightly boozy, with lots of apricots, bananas and peach, some spice and a good dose of alcohol finish it off. Medium/full body has soft carbonation and a warm, astringent finish. CaptainCougar (4637), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 2, 2007 Listed as Belgian Tripple (9.5%): Pours a slightly hazy golden with a nicely-lacing frothy white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts and bready Belgian yeast with a touch of spice and fruity esters. Body starts full, pale malty and sweet with nice light fruity complexity and a hint of coriander before a slightly warming, drier finish. Very true to style and enjoyable. scraff (1659), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jun 4, 2004 Hazy gold, fluffy off-white head. Nose is full of sweet orange peel, pear, corriander, banana, and fresh bread. Flavor shows just a bit too much alcohol, (this batch was 12%...yikes)but still pretty tasty regardless. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry sweet finish. A nice interpretation.... argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA May 10, 2003 Hazy orange body with minimal white head. Aroma is medium sweet, coriander, other spices, orange. Taste is sticky sweet candy sugar, orange, spicy, and hint of alcohol. Alcohol warms on the way down. Nice medium body.
