Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy golden color with an average sized head. Decent head retention and lacing. Weak aroma of earthy, vegetal hops. The taste is earthy, citrus and tropical hop notes. Like all their hoppy beers, this one lacks balance and is overhopped, but at least its marginally better than the others.

Sampled on tap. Pours a totally clear, bright gold with some thin white head. You can tell there are no adjuncts here. Nose is grapey, peppery, almost a little juniper, citrus peel. Smells a little weird. Flavor is sweet, white pepper, a little white grape, grass, spices, juniper. Medium bodied, peppery finish. What I got of the Nelson Sauvin hops was nice, but some of the other additions were distracting.

Draft on 02/11/11. Came to the table a clear copper color with a skim of a light-tan head. A lovely aroma of citrus and tropical fruits. Lots of pineapples, mangoes, tangerines, and grapefruits in the mix. A touch of biscuity maltiness too. Went down thin to medium-bodied and crisp. The taste started with a little biscuity maltiness and mild caramel. Plenty of tropical citrusy hoppiness after that. All the aforementioned fruits were noticeable in the taste as well. One-sided for sure, but a hop-head’s delight. Kinda reminded me of my first Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Delicious!!

Draft. Small white head atop lightly hazed light amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some grape, light pineapple. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some grape, orange, light bread. Light-medium body, light acidity, resin.
